Tango Mango and The Poogies

Every good fairy tale needs a villain......

Vera The Villain

Working on another larger scale figure for the final exhibition - every good fairy story needs a villain.

Vera the Villain - one of Victor's tribe of nasty and mean dogs who like to eat Poogies.......
Using a mannequin bust, chicken wire and plaster cloth to form the figure.  Based loosely on a bulldog or brachycephalic |(short faced) dog breed and a gargoyle.     Once the face and head is fully created I will paint and seal.  Then I can look at how to dress the mannequin and where it will situate in the exhibition -

Vera the Villain - in progress 18 September 2019, added teeth - (vampire teeth for Halloween)  left for a couple of days to dry then will build more detail , getting the face more balanced - I want to retain the rustic look that Tango has.

Wire armature on plastic mannequin bust

forming the basic shape and getting the proportions correct.

Using plaster wrap, and teddy bear plastic eyes - building up the face with paper and some dish cloth foam.
